If it runs on AAs, you can make fake batteries out of wooden dowels that are about the same size as a real AA. You can then replace your batteries with the fake ones and connect a wire from one battery to the last connector. Then you do not have to worry about driving too fast.

This strikes me less like a radio controlled string as perhaps a more accurately named how to radio control your cat.
