a way to test microwave ovens converge in the cooking cavity and to check the stirrers is to use small neon indicator tube’s
take a sheet of lexicon and drill a matrix of holes on 1in square and insert the tube’s in the matrix place in the microwave and enjoy the lightshow
a neon mounted in a old plastic pen is a quick way to test for RF leakage around the doors and check the door latches
Cool…to be cited by xkcd. I have given copies of What-If to relatives and friends…great for kids (aged 9-99).
