I am in Australia and the 2stx2220 transistor doesn’t appear to be available.
Does anyone know of an available replacement.

    Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks

One direct substitute is the STX790A.  There are others that will work as well, but have a different pin order.

I have looked for the STX700A but it doesn’t appear to be available either. I don’t mind different pin order as I am making it myself as a larger version without the original pcb.

Then pick any high-gain PNP transistor that can handle the current that you need (say, 1 A), and has a very low saturation voltage.
