although i really like flow-through furnace humidifiers, because they don’t grow germs, they also waste a lot of water.  i’d like to put an art controller on the solenoid valve to “pulse” it on and off – once the evaporator panel is wet, you can turn off the flow instead of leaving it running, and save 80-90% of the water.  the art controller is almost perfect for this, with its programmability and relay output.  but…

the humidifier and its solenoid valve run on a 27vac transformer.  is there an easy way to power the art controller from that?

There are various ways to generate 9-12 V DC from 27 V AC, but it’s most likely easiest to use a separate plug-in power supply to power the Art Controller. If you’re getting it from our shop, we do carry this power supply that would work: http://shop.evilmadscientist.com/partsmenu/174
