Hi Windell, fantastic progress! Just out of curiosity… have you tried mixing in other sugars, like fructose, which has a lower melting point?

Thus far the only edible material that we have experimented with is still sugar. Regular sugar works quite well, so there is no real necessity to change. On the other hand, I’m certainly willing to experiment with fructose. Ideally, it would be good to find a place that sells 50 lb. bags for less than $0.50/lb.
Mixing sugars does have the disadvantage that the overall strength is likely to suffer versus using any single material.
