AxiDraw on a tilted drawing surface

    We would like to operate the AxiDraw V3/A3 with the drawing surface tilted at say 30 degrees, as shown in the attached figure. AxiDraw on a tilted drawing surface

    (This is is so spectators can see the plot as it is being made.)

    We have already tried operating the AxiDraw tilted like this, and it “works”.

    But can you tell us if operating like this puts too much stress on the AxiDraw? Thank you.

    If things are working well for you, then I don’t see any issues whatsoever. Any added stress or wear from this configuration is negligible.

    I would recommend that you attach the machine to the tilting surface — maybe just with screws through the extended feet — to reduce the risk of it sliding.
