Encountered a strange problem where hatch fills would drift outside of their polys on my Axidraw laptop, but not my desktop. I could generate a perfectly fine image on my desktop, but when I moved them to the laptop, the hatches would again spill outside of the polys. Both machines were running the same version of Inkscape and Axidraw software.

I finally fixed the problem by deleting the Inkscape preferences.xml file which is in a hidden folder on Windows:

    C:\Users\______\AppData\Roaming\inkscape\preferences.xml

Warning: doing this means you lose all your Inkscape and Axidraw settings. So you will have to reconfigure your Axidraw Control settings, such as which model of the plotter and any timing or pen height settings.

Is it possible that you had a different value of the “tolerance” parameter set on the two machines? That would cause the difference.
