July 2, 2021 at 11:16 am #29315Windell OskayKeymasterIt looks like there’s some kind of USB communication error. This is what you might expect if, for example, the USB cable were unplugged (even slightly) during a plot. I’d suggest unplugging the EggBot from both power and USB and restarting your computer.
The red lights do not indicate any kind of error; they only indicate which direction each motor was turning most recently.
July 2, 2021 at 11:39 am #29316LindaParticipantthank you very much for your quick answer. unfortunatelly this has not helped. I tryed now to paint a circle on the egg..this ERROR comes up:

July 2, 2021 at 11:45 am #29318LindaParticipantthe eggbot deluxe
July 2, 2021 at 11:48 am #29319LindaParticipantI also tried another USB Port…its the same…in addition it also looks like the eggbot doesn’t draw properly…it can’t draw a real square…it becomes more like a rectangle and a small circle becomes an egg
July 2, 2021 at 11:57 am #29320Windell OskayKeymasterThis is still a connection difficulty. If you have a different USB cable to try, I’d recommend trying that. And, if you are using any kind of USB hub or adapter, I’d recommend trying a direct connection instead.
You might also try disconnecting the power supply, disconnecting the USB cable, and then try connecting only with the USB cable until the connection is working reliably. You might also check if wiggling the USB cable (with power disconnected) causes the “3.3 V” power light on the power light on the EBB to turn on and off. If so, that suggests that the cable or board needs to be replaced.
For the difference between a rectangle versus a square, that is likely map projection, because you are wrapping a flat image around a sphere or egg shape: https://wiki.evilmadscientist.com/Eggbot_Quality_Troubleshooting#Map_Projection
July 2, 2021 at 12:48 pm #29321LindaParticipantok…so the ā3.3 Vā power light on the power light on the EBB turn on and off. This means I should ue antother USB cable?
July 2, 2021 at 12:51 pm #29322Windell OskayKeymasterYes, and if that doesn’t help, then we should swap out your EBB.
July 2, 2021 at 12:56 pm #29323LindaParticipanti changed the USB cable, but the green light for BOARD USB goes on an of
July 2, 2021 at 1:08 pm #29324Windell OskayKeymasterThat isn’t anything to be concerned about. It’s the 3.3 V light that needs to stay on.
July 3, 2021 at 10:09 am #29331LindaParticipantok guys, i tried everything you mentioned. The 3.3V lamp is green…every time, the USB Lamp is also green an goes on and off still I have the follwing error warning when I try to draw 3 small lines:

July 3, 2021 at 10:22 am #29333Windell OskayKeymasterThe USB lamp should go on and off when you have communication; this is normal.
Does the 3.3 V lamp stay on when you have _only_ the USB connector plugged in (not power) and wiggle the cable back and forth?
And, I presume that the machine is not moving, is that correct?
July 5, 2021 at 10:37 am #29348LindaParticipantHey, the 3V3 V lamp stay on when I have _only_ the USB connector plugged in (not power) and wiggle the cable back and forth. The eggbot runs..it also draws everything it should…only the error message comes after every drawing.

July 5, 2021 at 2:17 pm #29349Windell OskayKeymasterThis is very strange indeed. I would expect _nothing_ to be working when you get error messages like those.
Ignoring the error messages is safe, but let me look into some other things and make a next recommendation.
