New to Eggbot

Hi – I’m considering buying an eggbot for our library’s Makerspace but wanted to try out the Inkscape software before purchasing the Eggbot to see how easy it will be to teach and use with the public. I’m getting the following message when I apply to plot.

Inkscape has received additional data from the script executed. The script did not return an error, but this may indicate the results will not be as expected.

I have no idea what this means or if it is important.

It sounds like you don’t have the full set of software installed. I’d recommend running the EggBot installer for Windows, available here:
https://github.com/evil-mad/EggBot/releases/download/v2.5.0/EggBot_250A.exe

Hi – Thank you – I also don’t have the EggBot yet. I’m just trying out the Inkscape software. So now it makes sense to me why it won’t let me plot. Plotting needs the Eggbot. Love the easy to follow happy face tutorial. :)

The error that you’re seeing reflects the software not being fully installed (only certain components are installed on your computer) — if everything is installed correctly, and it can’t find the EggBot, it will say so directly.
