Split: Egg Bot can't be found on serial port

I seem to have a similar problem with eggbot not found on serial port in Inkscape.

I’ve split this topic since it does not appear to be related to the previous issue.

Please download the EBB driver directly from this link:
https://github.com/evil-mad/EggBot/releases/download/2.7.1/UBWDriverInstaller_v20.exe

Then, try running that installer, to see if it gives you any issues. If not, then try connecting from within Inkscape again. Try a different USB cable, if you have one available, and try a different USB port on your computer.

If you’re still having trouble, please try a manual upgrade to the latest version of the EggBot software.

(1) Download this ZIP file: https://github.com/evil-mad/EggBot/releases/download/v2.8.0/eggbot2.8b_Windows.zip
(2) Copy the entire contents of the “extensions” directory from that zip archive to your Inkscape extensions directory, overwriting the files there. Typically, your extensions directory is located at:
C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\extensions\ or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Inkscape\share\extensions\
