Split: Vertical Slide not lowering

I’ve got the same issue but assumed it was because the gears need oiling or something?

The pen goes up but doesn’t go back down by its own weight, I need to push it back down lightly.

@adam: If the vertical slide is not falling back down under its own weight, then it’s likely that you’ll need to make a minor mechanical adjustment to it, to ensure that you have smooth sliding. (Do not add oil.)
