Ah, that’s here:
It’s a bit of a hack– untested, as I said.
The changes that you’re asking for now are a little more invasive, and should be tested.
If I understand correctly, the changes (versus the standard program) that you are asking for are as follows:
(1) Change PB3 from an input to an output.
(2) Add a 3 second delay after receiving a trigger.
(3) After the 3 second delay, turn PB3 high.
(4) After PB3 goes high, add a 0.5 second delay.
(5) After the 0.5 second delay, turn PB3 low.
(6) Start the “real” delay, which is to the programmed input time delay, minus one second.
(7) When the delay time expires, turn PB3 high.
(8) After PB3 goes high, add a 0.5 second delay.
(9) After the 0.5 second delay, turn PB3 low. Then, wait for the next trigger.
Is that all correct?
Windell OskayKeymasterDid you make these code changes yourself?
Windell OskayKeymasterWe can help with alternate programs, but you’ll need to be explicitly clear about exactly what it is that you want it to do.
Windell OskayKeymasterNone of our software — of any version combination — supports that hardware.
Windell OskayKeymasterThat doesn’t sound a bit like an EggBot kit. You’ll need to ask the manufacturer (not us) for support.
Windell OskayKeymasterIt looks like your XY carriage may have been bumped out of alignment.
Please follow up with us by email (or through our contact form http://shop.evilmadscientist.com/contact ). We have a couple of specific tests for you to try.
If it has been bumped out of alignment, it is something that you will be able to fix yourself (and the necessary tools are included with the AxiDraw).
Windell OskayKeymasterFantastic, and thank you for following up!
Windell OskayKeymasterGreat– thanks!
Let’s try upgrading you to a slightly newer version of the extensions, to see if that fixes it.
Download this package:
https://github.com/evil-mad/EggBot/releases/download/v2.8.0/eggbot2.8b_Windows.zip
Unzip it and copy the entire contents of the “extensions” directory from that zip archive to your Inkscape extensions directory, overwriting the like-named files there.
Your extensions directory is located at:
C:\Program Files\Inkscape\share\extensions\Then, restart Inkscape, and see if you have good communication to the EggBot.
Windell OskayKeymasterWhich version of Inkscape are you using, and which version of the EggBot extensions are you using?
Windell OskayKeymasterLooking at the picture, that’s not actually limiting the X travel — so it’s not the version selected. I see that you’ve been emailing us as well, so we’ll follow up there. No need to work through this twice in parallel.
Windell OskayKeymasterHi Simon,
It sounds like you may not have selected the right AxiDraw model in AxiDraw Control. Please make sure that you have AxiDraw V3/A3 selected in the “Version” tab.Windell OskayKeymasterThe first thing that you should do is check the location of your Inkscape Extensions directory. Within Inkscape, select Edit > Preferences. Scroll down to the System item in the left hand list and select it.
Your extension directory should be listed as “User extensions:”
*That* directory is where you should place the extensions. Put the extensions there and restart Inkscape.

The dimensions of the couplers (and spares, without the abrasive foam attached) are available on our store pages:

Once you’ve got the machine set up right for golf balls– with the pen motor and pen arm in the right position — you shouldn’t need to do any additional adjustments to the machine itself. The only setup that you really need to do is to remove the balls and put the next one in.The technique that we use is as follows:
(1) Put the ball in
(2) With the motors disabled, spin the ball around about one revolution, looking at the top edge of the ball as you spin it. As you spin it, note how much the ball goes up and down.
(3) Stop when the ball is highest, so the “high point” is pointing up.
(4) Keeping contact with the tail coupler, lower the ball against the egg coupler (the side facing the motor), half the distance that it wobbled up and down.
(5 — optional, while getting started) spin it around once more to verify that it’s centered.Once you get the hang of it, that can take about ten seconds.
The abrasive grips on the two couplers are made of a type of memory foam, which will slightly conform to the shape of your ball with use. That conforming will help to get your ball initially centered as well. I’d suggest that if you’re only going to use golf balls, to store the machine with a golf ball (centered) in the mount, so that it’s ready to help guide your first ball of the day into position.
Windell OskayKeymasterYes, it has a US style plug.
